Introduction from the President
Welcome to the Hobart Repertory Theatre Society 2011 season, offering you some of the best and most affordable entertainment in Hobart.
We have something for everyone; Robert Thomas’ French murder mystery 8 Women, Anton Chekhov’s classic drama The Seagull, Anthony Shaffer’s comic mystery Whodunnit, and Michael Frayn’s theatrical comedy Noises Off. Shakespeare’s Richard III completes our main season.
In addition, we have a short season of David Tristram’s Little Grimley Trilogy, and oneFest, our one act festival in association with the Old Nick Company Inc.
We haven’t forgotten the children either: our children’s pantomime later in the year offers a great opportunity to introduce your kids to the magic of theatre.
With such a diverse range of shows in the coming year why not treat yourself, a friend, or a loved one, to a season package? Our flexible three and five shows’ voucher system means you do not have to commit to a specific date before you’re ready.
As outgoing President I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the fantastic support you have shown both the society and me personally over the six years of my presidency, and I look forward to seeing you at The Playhouse in 2011.
