And the winners are…

The curtains have come down on this year’s OneFest,  Hobart’s one act play Festival, and we like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to everyone who made this year’s festival the biggest OneFest yet!

With three jam-packed sessions over two days, record audiences got to see an amazing diverse selection of plays, as actors, directors and writers all competed for fantastic prizes and awards.

Winners of the 2011 awards and prizes are:

Best Production ($400) – The Old Nick Co. for ‘The Education of Macoloco’ (Directed by Steven Jones and starring Niall Maurici, Sara Pensalfini and
Ivano Del Pio
Best Director ($150) – Mick Lowenstein for ‘Tacet’
Best Actor (Male or Female) ($150)– Sara Pensalfini Brown for ‘The Education of Macoloco’ and ‘Tacet’
Best Original Work ($100) – Nicholas King for ‘Toast’
Most Promising Actor or Director ($100)  – Nelson Ohl for ‘When A Man Knows’ and ‘Little Rabbit’
Adjudicator’s Award ($100)– StandPoint Theatre for ‘I Dream Before I Take The Stand’
